Black Hair Care: Micro Braids Question?

I just got my micro braids less than two weeks ago and I am very disappointed. My scalp is itching like crazy and I've tried tea tree oil and oil sheen to soothe it. I tie them up at night, too. Nothing works and a lot of them fell out. I'm ashamed to say it but they look and feel horrible. I would take them out , but I spent why too much money to get them. I am very upset. Any advice?

Ouch, Sorry to hear that...

I'm a fella so I don't have any advice, just sympathy, I know how much they cost and how LONG it takes to put them in.

If you had them done professionally they should provide maintance for you, they should not be falling out but if it's only been two weeks they should be able to put them in. It may also be the hair, you may be allergic to it, as i have had this happen to me

Black Hair Care: Micro Braids Question?

It could be the type of hair used for your micros. I have experimented with weave/micros in the past and have noticed that different types would make my scalp itch like crazy. Try washing your braids as you would your own hair.

Hope this helps.

If your micro braids were done by a professional, you need to go back to the professional and tell them the problems you are having with your micro braids.

Money is not important. Health and comfort is.

Just get rid of it.

Take warm oil and massage well.

Leave it for half hour at least and wash off
