I used to have the same problem.
I started using Patene for curly hair. It works wonders.
When I style it, I use a leave-in conditioner and a little bit of gel.
I get a lot of compliments on my hair now. :)
I also shower in the morning instead of at night.

i dont know how to help you with the curls, my hair is naturally curty too (im mixed white/black) i ususally straighten it with an iron called Maxius Glide, it works wonders, i haven't put any chemicals in my hair in years and my hair gets nice and straigh, and you can use some kind of product to reduce frizz.

If you have curly hair and want to wear it down, then you have to wash it each morning and dry it with a difusser on your blowdryer. Try doing this with your hair turned upside down for more body and then curl the crazy pieces with a curling iron.

Get some frizz control products. John Frieda has some producst available at WalMart that work well (Frizz-Ease or something like that). I also like BioSilk and Bed Head straightening gel (wich is anti-frizz and works well if you are still going curly).
Sometimes, when I want to stay curly, I just dampen my hair a tiny bit in the morning by misting with a water bottle, apply a little product and then blow-dry with a diffuser for about 5 minutes (or less). It is fast, keeps the feel, but works out the frizz.

For one, what do you wash your hair with? I suggest you use "Finesse" conditioner. I have curly hair too, and it works great! I suggest you use "Finesse" Shampoo, then wet a hair-brush, put some of the conditioner on your hair, and brush through it. Softness lasts for about two weeks, depending on your hair. I have enclosed this with a picture of "finesse" shampoo and conditioner. I also suggest you use nothing but finesse, because it may make your hair look greasy.

first off you gotta get a frizz ease let me suggest Frizz Buster by Fantasia excellent product, you gotta try it. The frizz ease will increase shine but not greasy and will eliminate the frizz and static look. Then you need to get a good conditioning product like infusium 23 which will repair any damages to the hair and will give a healthy look to the hair. Cut the curling iron loose if you use this will only damage the hair start the roller sets large size for long hair and medium for short---if you want the straight look and you have long hair try the over sized rollers. You will notice a difference in about two weeks with the conditioning and immediately with the frizz ease.
