How do you make really straight hair wavy?

Well, I've been wanting to do this for a while now. I tried it today with a curling iron and it didn't work. Maybe I did something wrong or maybe it wasn't hot enough.

What I did was take a strand of my hair and wrap it around the curling iron and then held for 10 seconds. It looked fine and then it started to look normal again when I combed through it.

My hair is naturally straight and past my boobs, and I have side bangs and I'd really like to get my hair wavy once in a while. I know there's another option of braiding the hair overnight when wet, but I sorta want it to be so I can do it right away.

Lately, I've been wanting to do more with my hair. Since I'm going to college soon, I sorta want to see what I can do if I don't have time to always style it. Meaning, I want a style that can last a while.

I feel your pain. I have super straight hair too. And I made my hair wavy. Heres how:

1.)Take a shower with shampoo and conditioner.

2.) While your hair is still wet braid your hair in many little braids. All over head.

3.) Let your hair air dry.

4.) After about an hour or two take your braids off.

5.) Do not touch the waves. Let them sit for 5 mins

6.) After that gently brush with your fingers.

7.) The with hair spray, spray your hair.

If you don't have hairspray then don't move hair to much.

what you said you did sounds right, maybe you should put some mousse in it before. they also have this spray gel stuff for curly/wavy hair. make sure you use hairspray so it will stay it. if it doesnt work maybe ask your hair stylist how you can make your hair more wavy im sure they would know. good luck! :]

this trick is so old but after washing your hair brush it out so there's no knots in it. Make little braids throughout your hair and sleep with them (or you could blow dry our hair) When you take them out, your hair should be wavy.

NOTES:

*the longer you leave them in, the better they are most likely to stay

*smaller braids give you smaller waves and vice versa

*loose braids will cause less waves

*if you only want waves at the bottom, don't briad your hair too tight at the top.

OR

U could try using a curling iron. Thinner ones work better for me. Take some hair and just curl it. Depending on how you wrap it around the iron and how long you leave it will depend on how wavy your hair will be.

ok so as soon as you get outta the shower bend over and like grab your hair and let it goo!! it totally works and i have the striahgtes hair ever make sure you do not brush it and don't grab it together if it kinda dry becuase then it will just poof
