Who does their own relaxer, style hair, and braid it themselves?

I do my relaxer, but my sis is better. I'm not to good at styling it, but I canI braid it.

I've always done at-home relaxers and my hair is gorgeous! I don't wear braids or weave because my hair is so long. Don't be afraid of at-home relaxers, just make sure you don't over-process, professionals can do this as well, so it's not just you. The key is a good reconstructer and conditioner after you do your relaxer. Keep your hair moisturized and hydrated, and you shouldn't have any problems. Also, get a trim around the same time you touch up your new growth; which should be every 6-8 weeks (I go about 10 weeks before I think about a touch up). Hope that helps!

I relax, braid and style. I also do my own weaves, extensions, and hair cutting!

I tried using a relaxer on my hair a few times (the kind you get at Walmart) and I thought I was doing it right, but then I started losing a few hairs in the shower and I stopped relaxing it because I didn't want to go bald. I can sort of braid hair, but not my own. When it comes to styling it I like to get extensions.

PLEASE DONT DO THAT!. I stopped getting relaxers after the professionals messed up my hair texture. let alone if you do it ur self. You can permanently mess up ur hair, I have a friend that has a form of Alopecia because of relaxers. But if you feel you must have them, do a sensitive scalp relaxer or a kiddie perm. You dont need those strong ones. Im a year off relaxers and Im not touching them ever again. My hair is healthier and my scalp isnt sore .
